Go, Fight, Win! Bring it On: The Musical Extends Broadway Run Through 2013

Bring it On has extended its run at Broadway’s St. James Theatre. The musical, which began performances July 12 and opened officially on August 1, was originally scheduled to play a limited engagement through October 7. The production will now run through January 20, 2013.

Inspired by the 2000 film of the same name, Bring It On features music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, music by Tom Kitt, lyrics by Amanda Green and a book by Jeff Whitty. Following a 13-city natinoal tour, the new Broadway musical mixes the high-stakes world of competitive cheerleading with cutthroat high school politics. Directed and choreographed by Andy Blankenbuehler, the musical tells the story of the challenges and unexpected bonds formed through the thrill of extreme competition.

Bring it On stars Taylor Louderman as Campbell, Adrienne Warren as Danielle, Ryann Redmond as Bridget, Elle McLemore as Eva, Jason Gotay as Randall, Ariana DeBose as Nautica, Gregory Haney as La Cienega, Neil Haskell as Steven, Janet Krupin as Kylar, Kate Rockwell as Skylar and Nick Womack as Twig. The production also features Calli Alden, Nikki Bohne, Dexter Carr, Shonica Gooden, Haley Hannah, Rod Harrelson, Casey Jamerson, Dominique Johnson, Michael Mindlin, Adrianna Parson and Bettis Richardson.
