Four-time Tony winner Boyd Gaines and Emmy winner Richard Thomas are gearing up to star in a new version of Henrik Ibsen’s 1882 play An Enemy of the People by Rebecca Lenkiewicz, and we’ve got a dapper first look at the onstage duo. Directed by Doug Hughes, An Enemy of the People is the story of Dr. Thomas Stockmann (Gaines) and his brother, Mayor Peter Stockmann (Thomas), who discover the water used at the local baths are contaminated with toxins. Although the doctor expects to become a local hero, he experiences hostility from the community, who use the baths as the town’s main source of revenue.
