Sam Shepard’s ethereal new drama Heartless has taken up residence at off-Broadway’s Pershing Square Signature Center, and on August 27, Gary Cole, Julianne Nicholson, Lois Smith and the star-studded cast celebrated their official opening night. Heartless is the surreal story of Roscoe (Cole), a professor who comes to stay with Sally (Nicholson) and her odd family in a cavernous home overlooking Los Angeles. After taking in the mysterious tale, Martha Stewart, Julia Stiles and more joined Shepard, director Daniel Aukin and the cast to celebrate the big night.
