Kinky Boots’ Cyndi Lauper and Billy Porter Serve Up Sexy Rock at Fashion’s Night Out

Kinky Boots’ Grammy-winning songwriter Cyndi Lauper and its fabulous star Billy Porter brought down the house at the Manolo Blahnik boutique at a Fashion’s Night Out event on September 6. The cast of the new Broadway-bound musical Kinky Boots belted out the show’s Act I anthem “Sex is in the Heel.” The rousing number is performed by Porter’s character, a sassy drag queen named Lola, and backed by a bevy of cute chorus boys. It may have been Fashion’s Night Out, but the place to be was inside this rocking boutique!
