Murphy Guyer completes the cast of the forthcoming Broadway revival of David Mamet’s Pulitzer Prize-winning drama Glengarry Glen Ross. Guyer will play Detective Baylen in Dan Sullivan’s starry production headlined by Oscar winner Al Pacino and Emmy winner Bobby Cannavale. Glengarry Glen Ross begins performances October 16 at the Schoenfeld Theatre, with an official opening slated for November 11.
Glengarry Glen Ross is the story of a cutthroat quest to win a sales contest in a Chicago real estate office. In addition to Guyer, the 30th anniversary production will star Pacino as Shelly “The Machine” Levene, Cannavale as Ricky Roma, Tony nominee David Harbour as John Williamson, John C. McGinley as Dave Moss, Emmy winner Richard Schiff as George Aaronow and Tony nominee Jeremy Shamos as James Lingk.
Guyer’s previous Broadway credits include Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, South Pacific, The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial and The Graduate. His screen credits include Mildred Pierce, Rubicon, Oz and The Devil’s Advocate with Al Pacino.
