Tony Award-winning True Blood star Denis O’Hare and his designer husband Hugo Redwood are making plans to adopt their foster son, according to E! News. The couple has raised the boy, now 17 months old, since he was two weeks old.

It’s been a big year for O’Hare, who recently played the Baker in the starry Central Park revival of Into the Woods. On TV, his evil vampire character, Russell Edgington, met a fiery end on True Blood, and he was nominated for a supporting actor Emmy for his work on American Horror Story. (The award went to Tom Berenger of Hatfields & McCoys.) The actor won a Tony for Take Me Out and received an additional nomination for his performance in Assassins.

O’Hare and Redwood, an interior designer and craftsman, married on July 29, 2011.
