A midlife crisis has never been more fascinating than the one portrayed in Simon Stephens’ Harper Regan, which opened off-Broadway on October 10 at Atlantic Theater Company. Played by Mary McCann, the title character is very much at loose ends as she deals with a dying father, estranged mother, troubled husband, defiant teenage daughter and impossible boss. A series of short scenes allows audiences to follow what happens to Harper over a rather momentous weekend. Broadway.com went to Chelsea on opening night to photograph the luminous McCann, her talented co-stars and others who helped celebrate this fascinating new play. Take a look!
