Sister Act's Marla Mindelle Sells Her Soul in New Movie The Devil's Bitch
Marla Mindelle
Marla Mindelle will do anything for fame in 'The Devil's Bitch'.

Marla Mindelle has moved far away from the convent of Sister Act. The Devil's Bitch, a new short movie from the Sister Act alum, will play the 2012 Friar's Club Comedy Film Festival on October 27.

Co-created by Mindelle and writer/producer Jonathan Parks-Ramage, The Devil’s Bitch tells the story of a shy girl who sells her soul to the devil in exchange for fame, fortune and bigger boobs. The dark and campy comedy bills itself as "the anti-Glee" and features songs about pot-smoking and murder as the protagonist works her way through satanic acts.

The Devil’s Bitch also features other Broadway stars including Matthew Risch (Pal Joey), Josh Segarra (Lysistrata Jones) and Jeanna De Waal (American Idiot). The musical short is directed by Jake Honig, and features music by Will Van Dyke and choreography by Connor Gallagher.

Marla Mindelle appeared as postulant Mary Robert in Sister Act. She will return to Broadway next year as nasty step-sister Gabrielle in the upcoming production of Cinderella, starring Laura Osnes.
