Lincoln Center Theater is presenting the New York premiere of Ayad Akhtar’s jaw-dropping new play Disgraced. Centering on a rising Pakistani-American lawyer (Daily Show regular Aasif Mandvi) and his wife, a Caucasian artist (Heidi Armbruster), the drama reaches its peak when the couple hosts a dinner party, where friendly conversation escalates into discussion of race, religion and national identity. In addition to Mandvi and Armbruster, the show features Erik Jensen, Omar Maskati and Karen Pittman in a production running at the Claire Tow Theatre through November 18.
