Chaim Potok's My Name is Asher Lev tells a classic story about breaking from tradition and finding acceptance within one's community. This beloved novel has been adapted for the stage by Aaron Posner and is headed to off-Broadway's West Side Theatre on November 8 in a production starring Ari Brand in the title role and featuring stage vets Mark Nelson and Jenny Bacon in a variety of roles including Asher’s parents. Joined by director Gordon Edelstein and Potok's widow, Adena, the stars, met the New York press on October 22 to talk all about this important work of literature and theater.
