When Christopher Durang takes on Anton Chekhov, you can bet we’re not in Moscow anymore! Durang’s latest play, Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, takes characters and themes from the Russia’s greatest playwright and transfers them to present-day Bucks County, PA. With a cast led by Sigourney Weaver and David Hyde Pierce, this new comedy is set to open on November 12 at Lincoln Center Theater’s Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater.
