CBS has canceled its freshman sitcom Partners, according to Deadline.com. The Michael Urie-led comedy, which premiered in September, has been pulled from CBS' Monday night line-up after just six episodes.
Partners centered on the relationship between two friends and business partners, Louis and Charlie, and the tensions caused by Charlie’s proposal to his girlfriend. The series was created by Max Mutchnick and David Kohan, the duo behind Will & Grace.
Urie played the lead role of Louis on the series. He made his Broadway debut last winter as Bud Frump in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. He is best known for his role on TV's Ugly Betty, and also appeared off-Broadway in Angels in America and The Tempermentals. He was recently named to Out magazine's "Out 100" list.
