A reading of 'Pterodactyls' will be presented at off-Broadway's Vineyard Theatre.

Tony nominee Bobby Steggert and Emmy winner Penny Fuller will star in a reading of Nicky Silver's Pterodactyls on December 10 at off-Broadway's Vineyard Theatre, directed by Trip Cullman. The reading of the 1993 play continues the Vineyard's series of one-night-only readings of notable plays from its acclaimed history.

Pterodactyls was one of the first American plays to deal with a family's response to the AIDS epidemic. The play is an absurdist black comedy about the demise of the Duncan family. Fuller will perform as Duncan family matriarch Grace, Steggert as son Todd, Virginia Kull as daughter Emma and Claybourne Elder as Emma's fiancé Tommy. Casting for the role of family patriarch, Arthur, has not yet been announced.

Steggert is currently starring as Jordy Jr. in the off-Broadway production of Giant. He received a Tony nomination for his work in the Broadway revival of Ragtime. His other theater credits include off-Broadway's A Minister\'s Wife, and Yank!. Fuller's Broadway credits include Dividing The Estate, The Dinner Party, An American Daughter, Rex, Applause, Dandelion Wine, Cabaret and Barefoot in the Park.

Kull is currently appearing in The Heiress as Maria. Her other Broadway credits include Man and Boy, Dividing The Estate and Old Acquaintance. Elder appeared as Buck Barrow in Broadway's Bonnie & Clyde, and off-Broadway in One Arm and Road Show.
