Les Miserables continued its triumphant award season run as the movie took home the Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy award at the Golden Globes. Film stars Hugh Jackman and Anne Hathaway won the awards for Best Performance by an a Actor in a Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy and Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture, respectively. The Heiress star Jessica Chastain also won the Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture — Drama trophy for Zero Dark Thirty

Other Broadway veterans that earned Golden Globes included Julianne Moore for Best Actress in a Miniseries or Motion Picture Made for Television, Maggie Smith for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion and Claire Danes for Best Performance by an Actress In a Television Series – Drama.

The award for Best Motion Picture - Drama went to Argo, with Girls and Homeland taking home the top TV prizes.
