The title says it all. Cuff Me: The Fifty Shades of Grey Musical Parody will make its off-Broadway premiere at the Actors Temple Theatre beginning March 27. Conceived by Tim Flaherty and directed by Sonya Carter, the musical officially opens May 5.
Written by members of the Virginia-based improv group The Pushers, Cuff Me: The Fifty Shades of Grey Musical Parody in an unauthorized spoof that uses parodies of hit songs to tell the kinky story of the best-selling novel Fifty Shades of Grey. The off-Broadway cast features Matthew Brian Bagley, Laurie Gardner, Alex Gonzalez and Tina Jensen.
Cuff Me: The Fifty Shades of Grey Musical Parody is a different parody than 50 Shades! The Musical, which briefly played the Gramercy Theater in January. We doubt Fifty Shades fans have an issue with more than one Christian Grey sexing up New York with his musical masochistic antics.
