Girls' Adam Driver Will Get Challenged to a Duel in His New Film Coward

Better brush up on your sharp shooting, Adam Driver! The Broadway alum and Girls star will find himself challenged to a duel as the lead of the new indie film Coward, according to Deadline.com. Written and directed by Max Winkler, the film is an adpation of the Nick Jones' play that ran at Lincoln Center's LCT3 in 2010. 

Set in 18th century England, Coward follows Lucidus (Driver), a nobleman whose family has a losing track record when it comes to being challenged to pistol duels. When Lucidus finds himself propositioned for a shoot-out, he freaks out and hires a criminal to take his place. Posing as Lucidus, the criminal however decides to steal the nobleman's identity.

Driver became a TV stand-out with his turn as Hannah's emotionally unstable, oddball boyfriend Adam on HBO's Girls. He also recently appeared in the films Lincoln, Gayby and J. Edgar. On Broadway he appeared opposite Frank Langella in Man and Boy, and served as the Louis replacement in the recent off-Broadway revival of Angels in America. His other stage credits include Look Back in Anger and Mrs. Warren's Profession.
