The Assembled Parties, Starring Jessica Hecht & Judith Light, Receives Two-Week Broadway Extension

The party continues! Richard Greenberg’s The Assembled Parties will play for two additional weeks at Broadway’s Samuel J. Friedman Theatre, starring Judith Light, Jessica Hecht and Jeremy Shamos. Directed by Lynne Meadow, The Assembled Parties was originally scheduled to play through June 2. It will now play a limited engagement through June 16.

Set in 1980, The Assembled Parties tells the story of the Bascovs, an Upper West Side Jewish family living in a Central Park West apartment. Former movie star Julie Bascov (Hecht) and her sister-in-law Faye (Light) bring their families together for a holiday meal. But when a new houseguest wheedles himself into the family drama, the Boscovs’ picture-perfect life is thrown off balance.

In addition to Light, Hecht and Shamos, the Manhattan Theatre Club production also stars Mark Blum, Jonathan Walker, Lauren Blumenfeld, Alex Dreier and Jake Silbermann.

The Assembled Parties features scenic design by Santo Loquasto, costume design by Jane Greenwood, lighting design by Peter Kaczorowski and sound design by Obadiah Eaves.
