Daniel Radcliffe, who got bowtied in How to Succeed and nude in Equus, has set his sights on his next project. The Broadway favorite will star in the crime thriller Tokyo Vice in 2014, reports Deadline.com.
The Broadway.com Audience Choice Award winner will play an American journalist who covers the crime beat at a Tokyo newspaper and finds himself embroiled with a high-profile gangster. The film is based on a memoir by reporter Jake Adelstein, with a script by playwright JT Rogers and direction by Anthony Mandler. Production will start early next year.
What else is next for the former Harry Potter star? Radcliffe recently starred in the flicks The Woman in Black and Kill your Darlings, and he’ll hit the screen again in the next two years with a rom-com (The F Word), a horror movie (Horns) and a revived adaptation of Frankenstein. He’ll also return to the stage in a mounting of The Cripple of Inishmaan in the West End.
