Meet Newsroom Newcomers Marcia Gay Harden, Hamish Linklater & Grace Gummer
Marcia Gay Harden, Hamish Linklater & Grace Gummer in 'Newsroom'
A trio of Broadway vets are headed to HBO's 'The Newsroom.'

Look for the second season of HBO’s The Newsroom, which premieres on July 14, to continue spotlighting great theater actors. As previously reported, original stars Jeff Daniels, John Gallagher Jr., Alison Pill, Thomas Sadoski, Emily Mortimer and Sam Waterston will be joined by Marcia Gay Harden (Daniels’ Tony-winning co-star in God of Carnage), Hamish Linklater (Seminar, The Comedy of Errors) and Grace Gummer (Arcadia). Harden plays a hard-driving First Amendment lawyer, Linklater joins the News Night team as a producer and Gummer is cast as a rival reporter who spars with Jim (Gallagher) on Mitt Romney’s campaign bus. Click below for scoop from show creator Aaron Sorkin and the new stars (including House of Cards alum Constance Zimmer) for what’s on tap for the new characters in The Newsroom.
