FringeNYC Hit Why You Beasting? Returns for Limited Run Off-Broadway
Why You Beasting?, a hit from the 2013 FringeNYC Festival has returned for a limited run at The Players Theatre. David Don Miller’s dark comedy about the New York City public school system plays through October 15 at the off-Broadway venue.
Presented by Daren Lee Cole and NewYorkRep and directed by Markus Potter, Why You Beasting? follows ambitious first-year teacher Rudy Donovan (played by Shane Zeigler) as he navigates the chaos of the school system in one of the most notorious high schools in the Bronx.
In addition to Zeigler, Why You Beasting? features Taylor Carter-Jones, Nicolette Ellis, Jon E, Susanna Guzman, Jay Horton, Camille James, Megan Merrick, Ann-Kathryne Mills, Lacroix Peeples, María Pietranera, Desiree Rodriguez, Pulina Ruiz, Fletcher Shepley-McTaggart, Doug Trapp, Gonzalo Trigueros and Corwin Tuggles.
Why You Beasting? performs October 1 at 8PM, October 6 at 7PM, October 11 at 9PM and October 15 at 8PM.
