Tony winner Nina Arianda is the latest Broadway vet popping up on the CBS drama Hostages. On the October 28 episode, Arianda plays Lauren, the sister of lead character Dr. Ellen Sanders, played by Toni Collette. When Lauren shows up unexpectedly at the Sanders house intending to stay, hostage taker Duncan (Dylan McDermott) forces Ellen to get rid of her without making it look suspicious.

The cast of Hostages also includes Tony winner James Naughton as President Kincaid and Tate Donovan as Collette’s husband, Brian Sanders.

Arianda and Collette co-starred in the film Lucky Them, which debuted at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festical and is due for release next year. A Tony winner for Venus in Fur and Tony nominee for Born Yesterday. Arianda will return to the New York stage in January in Manhattan Theatre Club’s off-Broadway production of David Grimm's political drama Tales From Red Vienna.
