Kinky Boots Stars Join Cyndi Lauper for True Colors Benefit Cabaret

When Cyndi Lauper headlines a benefit cabaret performance, you’d better believe she’ll get stalwart support from the cast of Kinky Boots! On December 16, the pop icon and Tony-winning composer presented an eclectic evening of song at Birdland, with proceeds benefiting the True Colors Fund, which Lauper co-founded to address gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender youth homelessness. This tireless fighter for equality was joined by Kinky stars Billy Porter, Stark Sands, Annaleigh Ashford and more, with musical direction by her show’s Tony-winning orchestrator, Stephen Oremus.
