Fox Loses David & Goliath Court Case; Glee Could be Banned in Britain

Lea Michele, Chris Colfer, Matthew Morrison and the McKinley gang banned?! It may well happen. According to BBC News, in a David and Goliath court case, Mark Tughan, owner of British comedy/music venue the Glee Club has challenged the big wigs at 21st Century Fox for trade mark infringement and won.

The Emmy nominated series, which will celebrate its two-part 100th episode on March 18 and 25, had plans to air its fifth and sixth seasons internationally, but that just might not happen at all in the U.K. A judge ruled on February 7 in Tughan's favor, citing that potential customers may put be off by the association with the TV series. (Are they crazy?!) Unfortunately this could mean that Rachel Berry, Kurt Hummel, Mr. Schuester and the whole Glee family could sing so long, farewell to U.K. airwaves. Besides being taken off the small screen, Glee merchandise and music downloads would also be unavailable across the pond!

A spokesperson for 20th Century Fox said that they “intend to appeal and are confident that, as the case plays out, we will ultimately prevail. We remain committed to delivering Glee to all of its fans in the U.K."
