Jessica Chastain and Annette Bening Get Their Shakespeare On

Whitney Bashor, Justin Levine and Micah Stock are joining the star-studded Public Forum: Shakespeare in America on June 30 at the Delacorte Theater. The free one night only event will include James Earl Jones reading a scene from Othello, Alec Baldwin reading scenes from Macbeth and Steven Pasquale singing Tony in the “Tonight” duet from West Side Story.

Further Casting Announced for Old Vic's Electra, Starring Kristin Scott Thomas
Amanda Drew (TV’s Eastenders), Olivier winner Jack Lowden (Ghosts), Diana Quick (TV’s Brideshead Revisited), along with Golda Rosheuvel, Thalissa Teixeira and Peter Wight, will join the previously announced Kristin Scott Thomas in Sophocles’ tragedy Electra. Frank McGuinness’ adaptation of the classic drama will begin performances at London’s Old Vic on September 22 and officially open on October 1.
BAM Before Harry Potter For Director John Tiffany?
Rumored to be helming the Harry Potter stage adaptation in the West End, Tony winner John Tiffany (Once) is definitely directing an upcoming production of The Ambassador at BAM. Singer-songwriter Gabriel Kahane’s personal portrait of Los Angeles will play the Harvey Theater December 10 though 13. The show will have its world premiere at Carolina Performing Arts in October and will also play UCLA in 2015.
