Create Your Own Off-Broadway Show at Blank! The Musical

What’s it like to pen a musical in real time? Soon, you can find out for yourself off-Broadway. Blank! The Musical, a new interactive theatrical event, will play New World Stages. The limited engagement will begin on November 1 and run for six weeks. Casting and creative team will be announced at a later date.

At each performance, an ensemble cast will hit the stage without scripts or rehearsals to perform a brand new musical that audiences help create. Those in attendance will use their smartphones to choose a title, write lyrics and compose a score.

Blank! is co-created by Michael Girts, Mike Descoteaux and T.J. Shanoff. The production is a collaboration between Uprights Citizens Brigade and Livecube, a mobile technology app that will be utilized by theatergoers during the show.
