The world premiere of A.R. Gurney’s Love & Money has extended its limited run off-Broadway. The Signature Theatre production, which will begin performances on August 15, will now run through October 4 (it had originally been scheduled to shutter on September 27.) Opening night is still set for August 24 at The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center.
The play follows Cornelia Cunningham, a wealthy widow who’s determined to donate almost everything she owns before her life of privilege ends. Her plan hits a snag when an ambitious and ingratiating young man arrives to claim his alleged inheritance.
The production, directed by Mark Lamos, will star Maureen Anderman as Cornelia, as well as Gabriel Brown as Walker “Scott” Williams, Pamela Dunlap as Agnes Munger, Kahyun Kim as Jessica Worth and Joe Paulik as Harvey Abel.
