They’re all on board for this one-of-a-kind reunion, which takes place on August 31 at 7PM and 9:30PM. What kind of fool would miss it?
54 Sings Saturday Night Fever! will bring together the five stars and the unforgettable music from the ‘70s-flavored show based on the hit movie. Directed and choreographed by Arlene Phillips, Saturday Night Fever opened at the Minskoff Theatre on October 21, 1999 and ran for 501 performances until December 30, 2000. Carpinello made his Broadway debut as Tony Manero opposite Paige Price as Stephanie Mangano, Orfeh as Annette, Batt as Monty and Castree as Bobby C. Disco-dancing in the ensemble were two soon-to-be Broadway Tony-winning choreographers, Andy Blankenbuehler (In the Heights, Hamilton) and Casey Nicholaw (Aladdin, Something Rotten!).
Since Saturday Night Fever, Carpinello went on to originate the role of Stacee Jaxx in Rock of Ages and has appeared in films like The Great Raid and The Punisher and on TV in shows including The Good Wife, CSI: Miami, Law & Order: SVU, NCIS, Person of Interest and Blue Bloods. Since playing Stephanie, Price has stepped behind the scenes, producing many events and acting as Executive Artistic Director of Theatre Aspen and Vice President of Actors' Equity Association. Orfeh received a 2007 Tony Award nomination for originating the role of Paulette in Legally Blonde on Broadway and appeared in the indie films Sleeping with the Fishes and Life of an Actress. After a long Broadway career, Batt is now best known for playing Salvatore Romano on Mad Men, a role that led him to parts in films like 12 Years a Slave and TV shows including the upcoming Scream. Castree's Broadway career has continued to flourish, appearing in the shows Movin' Out, All Shook Up, High Fidelity, Young Frankenstein and 9 to 5.
The score for Saturday Night Fever features the Bee Gees hits "Stayin' Alive," "Night Fever," "If I Can't Have You," "More Than a Woman," "Jive Talkin'," "Nights on Broadway" and "How Deep Is Your Love."
Also appearing at the concert are Corey Mach, Shannon O’Doyle, Haley Swindal and more.
