Well, we can’t give you the whole season, but People shared a new trailer for TV Land’s smash hit. It includes a love triangle, the phrase “Netflix and chill” to add to your millennial glossary, lots of glitter and two-time Tony winner Sutton Foster rocking at least five lip colors. We’re totes on board. Binge it if you haven’t already—the series returns on September 28!
Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Heading to the Gramercy
This man is non-stop! Lin-Manuel Miranda’s hip-hop improv troupe Freestyle Love Supreme will perform at the Gramercy Theatre on September 30. Utkarsh Ambudcar, Arthur Lewis, Bill Sherman, Chris Sullivan and Anthony Veneziale are slated to hit the stage with him as well. Freaky Friday Completes Casting
Signature Theatre has announced the full cast for Freaky Friday’s world premiere at Virginia's Signature Theatre. We’re already freaking out (in the best way) about Broadway favorites Heidi Blickenstaff and Emma Hunton starring as mother and daughter; Jason Gotay (Bring It On) will play Adam and Alan H Green (School of Rock) is set to play Mike. Rounding out the company are Shayna Blass, Tyler Bowman, Cicily Daniels, Jamie Eacker, Sherri L. Edelen, Katie Ladner, Storm Lever, J.Elaine Marcos, Thaddeus McCants, Calvin McCullough, Jake Heston Miller, Tanisha Moore, Julian Ramos, Olivia Ashley Reed, Bobby Smith, Robert Walters, and Jason SweetTooth Williams. Directed by Christopher Ashley and choreographed by Sergio Trujillo, the Disney musical will run from October 4 through November 20.
Amber Tamblyn & Norbert Leo Butz Are Pretty Happy
Emmy nominee Amber Tamblyn and two-time Tony winner Norbert Leo Butz will join Paul Rudd in a one-night only reading of Neil LaBute's Reasons to Be Pretty Happy on September 11 at MCC Theater. The play is the final work in a trilogy by the MCC Playwright-in-Residence, following Reasons to Be Pretty and Reasons to Be Happy. LaBute also penned All the Ways to Say I Love You, which kicks off MCC's 30th anniversary season on September 6 and stars Judith Light.
Beauty and the Beast Sneak Peek
