About the Show

On August 1, I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change will celebrate its 10th anniversary off-Broadway. In honor of that rare milestone The Fantasticks is the only off-Broadway musical to reach it previously, the New York City Department of Transportation will rename 43rd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues “I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change Way.”

In I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change, the road to coupledom and all of its trials and tribulations are explored. It is a musical comedy about everything you have ever secretly thought about dating, romance, marriage, lovers, husbands, wives and in-laws, but were afraid to admit. The tuner, which is the longest running off-Broadway musical currently on the boards, features music by Jimmy Roberts and book and lyrics by Joe DiPietro. Joel Bishoff directs the production at the Westside Theatre. Fifty-one times over the course of the show's run in Gotham, a young man has taken the stage to make a surprise proposal to his sweetheart. Additional productions of I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change have been mounted in more than 300 cities worldwide.

The show's current cast is comprised of Adam Arian, Anne Bobby, Ron Bohmer and Jodie Langel portraying over 60 roles. They will be on hand to unveil the new street sign on August 1 at 6pm in front of the Westside Theatre.
