Christopher McDonald will be Chicago's next Billy Flynn. He is scheduled to begin performance in the role on July 1.
A familiar face from both television and film, McDonald began his career as a stage actor. He studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art as well as the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and the Stella Adler Acting Conservatory in New York. His theatrical credits include Nightclub Cantina, Hay Fever, Final Touches, Bounders, Hamlet, Othello and The Taming of the Shrew. McDonald's film credits include Grease 2, Breakin' Outrageous Fortune, Thelma & Louise, Dutch, Grumpy Old Men, Monkey Trouble, Quiz Show, Happy Gilmore, Unforgettable, House Arrest, Leave It to Beaver, Dirty Work, SLC Punk!, The Faculty, The Skulls, Isn't She Great, Nurse Betty, Requiem for a Dream, The Perfect Storm, Spy Kids 2: The Island of Lost Dreams and Broken Flowers. He was also notably a series regular on Family Law and Cracking Up.
