Tierney currently appears on ER. Her role as Nurse Abby Lockhart in the series earned her a 2001 Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. Prior to ER, she was probably best known for playing ambitious station employee Lisa Miller on another NBC series, Newsradio. Her film credits include Welcome to Mooseport, Instinct, Forces of Nature, Primal Fear, The Temp, White Sands, Scotland PA, Primary Colors, Liar Liar and Insomnia. Her theatrical credits include mountings of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead, The Bald Soprano, Baby with Bathwater, Danny and the Deep Blue Sea and Talking With.

Set in four different city hotel rooms Seattle, Chicago, Boston and Los Angeles, Some Girls follows a soon-to-be-engaged man as he pays a last visit to four ex-girlfriends before taking the plunge. Tierney will play Bobbi, one of the ex-girlfriends. The role was played by Saffron Burrows in the West End world premiere of the play last year. No other casting has been announced.

Some Girls is scheduled to officially open on June 8.
