Chazz Palminteri in A Bronx Tale.
The Broadway production of A Bronx Tale, written by and starring Chazz Palminteri, has announced a two-week extension at the Walter Kerr Theatre, through February 24. The show has also added Sunday evening performances for the month of December. Directed by Jerry Zaks, A Bronx Tale opened on Broadway on October 25.
In A Bronx Tale, Palminteri brings 18 characters to vivid life, depicting a rough childhood on Bronx streets populated by a cast of friends and enemies. First performed off-Broadway in 1989, the show became a film directed by Robert De Niro and co-starring De Niro and Palminteri.
The Walter Kerr Theatre's next tenant, the new musical A Catered Affair, is scheduled to begin previews on March 25.
