Eric Schneider, Emily Padgett and Allie Schulz will join previously announced star Taylor Hicks in the national tour of Grease, which is set to begin at the Providence Performing Arts Center in Providence, RI, on December 2. Schneider will play Danny Zuko, with Padgett as Sandy Dumbrowski, Schulz as Rizzo and American Idol winner Hicks as Teen Angel.
The tour also stars Scot Patrick Allan as Eugene, Will Blum as Roger, Bridie Carroll as Jan, Kate Morgan Chadwick as Frenchy, Brian Crum as Doody, Kelly Felthous as Marty, Dominic Fortuna as Vince Fontaine, Erin Henry as Patty Simcox, Roxie Lucas as Miss Lynch, David Ruffin as Kenickie and Nick Verina as Sonny. The ensemble features Joseph Corella, Preston Ellis, Melissa Larsen, Ruby Lewis, Lisa Maietta, Dayla Perkins, Mark Raumaker, Mike Russo, Matthew William Schmidt and Brooke Stone.
Schneider made his Broadway debut in Jersey Boys and appeared off-Broadway and on tour in Altar Boyz and in the national tour of The Full Monty. Padgett made her Broadway debut in Grease understudying the role of Sandy and appeared in the national tours of Cats and Thoroughly Modern Millie. Schulz, a veteran of the Broadway company of Grease, placed third in the NBC reality series Grease: You're the One That I Want, where her nickname was Baby Sandy.
