Bean, Cuccioli, Foster, Leavel, Yazbeck & More Headed to Pittsburgh CLO

The summer season at the Pittsburgh CLO Theatre will include lots of Broadway favorites, including Shoshana Bean, Robert Cuccioli, Hunter Foster, Beth Leavel and Tony Yazbeck. Here’s what’s on tap at the company, known for presenting a mix of well-known titles and new shows:

Shoshana Bean will play the Narrator in a production of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, which will run May 26-June 7 at the Benedum Center, followed by a June 9-14 engagement of the national tour of Legally Blonde. Kevin Earley and Kate Loprest are up next in Swing!, running June 20-26.

Les Miserables will be presented July 7-19 with a cast that includes Robert Cuccioli as Javert, Fred Inkley as Jean Valjean, Kevin Earley as Enjolras, Jacqueline Piro Donovan as Fantine and Kate Loprest as Cosette.

On a lighter note, Cuccioli, Tony Yazbeck and Chandra Lee Schwartz will be featured in Barry Manilow’s Copacabana, a musical version of the hit song with a book by Manilow, Bruce Sussman and Jack Feldman, lyrics by Sussman and Feldman and music by Manilow. The show will run July 21-August 2.

The final summer offering will be a production of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s Into the Woods with Beth Leavel as the Witch, Hunter Foster as the Baker, his real-life wife Jennifer Cody as Little Red Riding Hood and Kevin Earley as the Wolf and Cinderella’s Prince. The production will run August 4-9.
