Pop star Ashlee Simpson-Wentz makes her Broadway debut as Roxie Hart in Chicago.

Simpson-Wentz made her stage debut as Roxie in the West End production of Chicago in 2006. As a recording artist, her first three albums (Autobiography, I Am Me and Bittersweet World) have sold over nine million copies worldwide. She had her own MTV series The Ashlee Simpson Show and made frequent guest appearances in the television series Malcolm in the Middle, as well as playing a role on 7th Heaven. Her most recent acting credit was on TV’s Melrose Place, from which she reportedly was fired. Simpson-Wentz participated in the special one-night only 10th anniversary performance of Chicago in 2006 at the Ambassador Theatre.
