Tony History:
This is the first Tony nomination for Escott and Mutrux.

Fun Fact:
Mutrux wrote the cult films American Me and The Hollywood Knights, and got his start as an actor with the famed Second City improv troupe. Before bringing Sun Records to the stage, Escott wrote the book Good Rockin’ Tonight: Sun Records and the Birth of Rock ‘n Roll.
