Edwin Drood, a young English gentleman whose disappearance throws a town into a frenzy, and Miss Alice Nutting, the famous cross-dressing actress who plays him in the show-within-the-show.
Broadway fan favorite Stephanie J. Block burst onto the scene in 2003 with her show-stopping portrayal of Liza Minnelli in The Boy From Oz. Since then, she’s charmed audiences in Wicked, The Pirate Queen, 9 to 5 and Anything Goes before headlining the first-ever revival of The Mystery of Edwin Drood.

Block brought her own dog Macaco on stage for almost every performance of Drood. Producers even told Block that if she called out sick, Macaco still had to come to the theater!
