Quotable Quote:
“I really wanted to do right by [Diana]. I know that she’s never really been portrayed publicly in this fashion, on such a large scale, and I wanted to make sure that I didn’t let her fans down. People are very protective of her, as well as Mr. Gordy. Everyone loves her, and I just wanted to do her justice. I feel like [the Tony nomination] is a full circle moment that allows me to celebrate her and all her fabulousness and glory.” — Valisia LeKae, in an interview with Broadway.com, 4/13
