Music legend Smokey Robinson, founder and frontman of The Miracles and best friend to Motown label founder Berry Gordy.

Bio Brief:
Brown made his Broadway debut in 2005, joining the cast of Jersey Boys, and appeared in the original cast of Sister Act before taking on his breakout role as Smokey Robinson in Motown: The Musical.

Tony History:
This is Brown's first Tony nomination.

Fun Fact:
Brown's college best friend Stark Sands (Kinky Boots) is also a 2013 Tony nominee for his third Broadway show.
