Carey Anderson
Carey Anderson is headed back to the Broadway company of Avenue Q in the dual roles of Kate Monster and Lucy the Slut, beginning November 24. Anderson first played the roles on Broadway last summer and then joined the musical’s national tour. Avenue Q contines its run at the Golden Theatre.
Anderson replaces Christy Carlson Romano in a Broadway company that also includes Howie Michael Smith, Christian Anderson, Jennifer Barnhart, Nicholas Kohn, Carla Renata and Ann Sanders. She joined Avenue Q after a long run as Sophie Sheridan in the Broadway and touring companies of Mamma Mia!
Avenue Q, the hilarious story of a bright-eyed college grad who comes to New York with big dreams and little money, features music and lyrics by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx and a book by Jeff Whitty and is directed by Jason Moore.
