Race, written and directed by David Mamet, begins previews at Broadway’s Ethel Barrymore Theatre. Starring James Spader, David Alan Grier, Kerry Washington and Richard Thomas, the play involves a firm made up of three lawyers, two black and one white, that is offered the chance to defend a white man charged with a crime against a black young woman.

Race features sets by Tony Award winner Santo Loquasto, lighting design by Brian Macdevitt and costumes by Tom Broecker.
