About the Show

Josh Lucas, Noah Emmerich, Dominic Fumusa and Jennifer Mudge will star in Naked Angels' forthcoming off-Broadway premiere of Fault Lines, a new play by Stephen Belber, directed by David Schwimmer. Performances begin September 22 at the Cherry Lane Theatre, with opening night set for September 30. Fault Lines replaces the previously scheduled The Talk by Frank Pugliese, which was to have starred Bobby Cannavale and has now been cancelled.

Fault Lines is described as a dark and twisted comedy in which a seemingly ordinary boys' night out turns sour for two friends when a stranger forces them to delineate the boundaries between loyalty, conviction and betrayal.

Lucas most recently appeared onstage in the off-Broadway production of Spalding Gray: Stories Left to Tell. He starred in the Broadway revival of The Glass Menagerie and appeared in New York productions of Corpus Christi, What Didn't Happen and The Picture of Dorian Grey. The star of feature films such as Glory Road, Poseidon, An Unfinished Life, Undertow, Hulk, A Beautiful Mind, Sweet Home Alabama, American Psycho and You Can Count on Me, Lucas most recently appeared in the documentary Trumbo.

Emmerich most recently played Mitch in the Kennedy Center's production of A Streetcar Named Desire opposite Patricia Clarkson and Amy Ryan, directed by Garry Hynes. His many feature films include Little Children, The Truman Show, Beyond Borders, Miracle, Frequency, Windtalkers and Cop Land.

Fumusa's New York theater credits include Take Me Out, Belber's Tape, [sic], Wait Until Dark and A Flea in Her Ear. He portrayed Mitch Albom in a six-month, 12-city national tour of Tuesdays with Morrie, opposite Harold Gould.

Mudge received a Drama Desk Award nomination for the off-Broadway revival of Dutchman opposite Dule Hill and recently appeared as Sara Murphy in Villa America at Williamstown Theatre Festival. She also played Maggie in Gil Cates' Geffen Playhouse production of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof opposite John Goodman and Brenda Fricker. Other New York theater credits include The Pavilion, The Stendhal Syndrome, Reckless, Rose's Dilemma and Only the End of the World.

Schwimmer, best known for playing Ross Gellar on Friends, is the co-founder of Chicago's Lookingglass Theatre Company and has starred in and directed many productions for the company. He appeared on Broadway in the revival of The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial.

Naked Angels previously produced a hit production of Belber's Tape. The author of Match, A Small, Melodramatic Story and McReele, among other plays, Belber will premiere his most recent work, Geometry of Fire, at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater this November. Management, a film he wrote and directed, starring Jennifer Aniston, Steve Zahn and Woody Harrelson, will premiere at the 2008 Toronto Film Festival.

The creative team for Fault Lines includes Cameron Anderson set design, Jason Lyons lighting design, Mattie Ullrich costume design, Bart Fasbender sound design and Matt Hodges props. This production is presented by Dark Harbor Stories and Olympus Theatricals in association with The Araca Group and New York Stage & Film.
