Lauren Kennedy will be Spamalot's new Lady of the Lake. Sara Ramirez, who received a Tony Award for her performance in the role, will depart the musical on December 18. Kennedy will begin performances on December 20, according to a production spokesperson.
Kennedy previously appeared on Broadway in Side Show, Sunset Boulevard and Les Miserables. Her other theatrical credits include the world premiere of The Ten Commandments in Los Angeles, the world premiere of The Rhythm Club at the Signature Theatre, the world premiere of The Last Five Years in Chicago, South Pacific in London and a New York City Opera mounting of Cinderella. She has a solo recording entitled Lauren Kennedy, Songs of Jason Robert Brown.
