Michael Siberry

About the Show

Michael Siberry will play King Arthur in the national tour of the Tony-winning musical Spamalot. The company will also feature Bradley Dean as Sir Galahad, Tom Deckman as the Historian, Jeff Dumas as Patsy, Pia C. Glenn as Lady of the Lake, Christopher Gurr as Sir Bedevere, Richard Holmes as Sir Lancelot and David Turner as Sir Robin.

Siberry has appeared on Broadway in The Life of Adventures of Nicholas Nickelby, The Merchant of Venice, The Sound of Music and The Frogs. Dean's credits include Jane Eyre and Man of La Mancha on Broadway, Evita on tour and the New York Musical Theater Festival mounting of The Big Time. Beckman has appeared on the Great White Way in Good Vibrations. Dumas was featured in the Chicago company of Wicked. Glenn was in the ensemble of The Frogs at the Vivian Beaumont Theatre. Gurr is a longtime associate of the Metro Theatre Company in St. Louis. Holmes' Broadway credits include Saint Joan, Timon of Athens, The Government Inspector, Cabaret, The Deep Blue Sea, Major Barbara and The Pillowman. Turner is best known for playing the flamboyant angel Winston in In My Life.

Lovingly “ripped-off” from the internationally famous comedy team's most popular motion picture, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Spamalot tells the legendary tale of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table and the quest for the Holy Grail. According to production materials, it features “a chorus line of legless knights, men in tights with legs, killer rabbits and sexy dancing divas.” Spamalot features a book by Eric Idle based on the screenplay of Monty Python and the Holy Grail by Monty Python creators Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones and Michael Palin and music and lyrics by Eric Idle and John Du Prez. The show won 2005 Tony Awards for Best Musical, Best Director for Mike Nichols and Best Featured Actress in a Musical for Sara Ramirez.

The national tour of Spamalot is set to play its first performance in Boston on March 7 at the Colonial Theatre. Other cities confirmed for the tour currently include Chicago, Washington D.C., Pittsburgh and Atlanta. In addition to the stars named above, the cast will also include Kevin Burrows, Kevin Crewell, Callie Carter, Tim Federle, Robyn Hurder, Naomi Kakuk, Amanda Kloots, Gavin Lodge, Nikki Long, Justin Patterson, Mia Price, Darryl Semira, Christopher Sutton, Esther Stilwell, Paula Wise, Brandi Wooten and Craig Waletzko.
