Sunday, March 7 will mark the end of the run of Naked Boys Singing! at the Actors' Playhouse. The all-nude male revue, which had been struggling earlier this year, is moving to Midtown West's Theater 4, a venue actually larger than its previous one, where it will start performances on Wednesday, March 10. The transfer will leave the Actors' Playhouse free for The Marijuana-logues, which is set to begin previews on March 18 in preparation for a March 30 opening, according to producer Jeff Chrzczon.

Written and performed by comedians Arj Barker, Doug Benson and Tony Camin, The Marijuana-logues explores just about everything having to do with the sticky subject of pot. Barker, Benson and Camin have been performing the show throughout the country, stopping for short runs at various theaters. For New York, a new director, Jim Millan the founder of Toronto's Crow's Theatre who is also known for his work with Kids in the Hall, has been brought on board.

One of off-Broadway's long-running hits, Naked Boys Singing! opened at the Actors' Playhouse on July 22, 1999. The eight-member cast is totally nude for about 90% of Naked Boys Singing! During the show, the boys celebrate their undressed state by singing songs with such titles as “Gratuitous Nudity” and “Bliss of a Bris.”

My Big Gay Italian Wedding, a non-union comedy about, well, a big gay Italian wedding, will move along with Naked Boys Singing! The show, written by Anthony Wilkinson, has been playing twice a week, in rotation with Naked Boys and will continue to do so at Theater 4.
