Claim to fame
Before making her Wicked Broadway debut as leading lady Elphaba, Jackie Burns spent a year playing the iconic part in the show’s first national tour. Prior to her Wicked days, Burns was an original cast member of the Tony-winning Broadway revival of Hair, where she was one of the "Black Boys" trio and understudied and performed the role of Sheila, and an original cast member of Rock of Ages off-Broadway.
