Biography

James Monroe Iglehart won a 2014 Tony Award for his performance as the Genie in Aladdin. He originated the role of Bobby in the Tony-winning musical Memphis. His other stage credits include The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and The Wiz. On screen, he has appeared in The Good Wife and The Electric Company. Iglehart is a member of the Lin-Manuel Miranda co-created hip-hop improv group Freestyle Love Supreme.
