Tony winner Nina Arianda will play late rock icon Janis Joplin in the upcoming film Joplin, according to Deadline.com. Sean Durkin (Martha Marcy May Marlene) is set to direct the movie, which will feature Arianda singing many of Joplin's classic songs.
