Clarion soprano Victoria Clark won a Tony Award for creating the role of protective mother Margaret Johnson in The Light in the Piazza and drew a Tony nomination for playing Mother Superior in Sister Act. Among her many noteworthy supporting Broadway roles are the shrill Alice Beane in Titanic, Fraulein Kost in Cabaret and sardonic secretary Smitty in the 1995 revival of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.
