The Lion King Tops LA's Ovation Awards

The winners of Los Angeles’ prestigious Ovation Awards were announced today. Voted on by professionals from Theatre LA member companies, the awards recognize excellence in 26 categories.

This year the Los Angeles production of Disney’s The Lion King took home the most awards with a total of seven. The Actors’ Gang production of Underneath the Lintel came second with three statues, and the Broadway-bound Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks, nominated for four awards, failed to take home any.

And the 2001 Ovation winners are.
